General

When Roland first released the System-500 modules, each module could be bought individually, and there was also a matching Eurorack case to mount them in. Roland's System-500 Complete Set combines all of the System-500 modules that can be easily mounted in the included stylish Eurorack housing. Its warm analogue sound, impressive looks and hands-on controls will have you hooked in no time! This modular synth comes with ten patch cables, and is a great way of learning all about sound synthesis.

The components of the Roland System-500 Complete Set

A typical synthesizer always features a number of specific components, all of which are represented in this set. There's a VCO module with classic waveforms (with pulse width modulation and sync), for instance, while a VCF module with low-pass and high-pass filters adds a little colour. Loudness is determined by a VCA module, and an envelope/LFO module breathes life into your productions. The 512 VCO module, the 521 VCF module, the 530 VCA module and the 540 ENV/LFO module are all dual modules. The synth's fifth module, the System-500 572 effects module, isn't a dual module, but as the effects are usually applied to your final output, that shouldn't be a problem. To please the eyes as well as the ears, the System-500 Complete Set comes in the beautiful Roland SYR-E84 Eurorack case.
