The LED Clubscan may look like the LED Micro Scanner, but JB Systems have completely reinvented this unit. This incarnation features a scanner with a 25W CREE LED light source, which produces brighter, more colourful light beams! A combined gobo and colour wheel saves up a lot of space, making this fixture ideal for mobile use, or installation in smaller venues.
Components of the LED Clubscan scanner
The LED Clubscan is a highly compact scanner that can be used for all sorts of purposes. Its true power comes from the light source, a 25W CREE LED module, which creates a powerful beam of light that is shot through the combined colour and gobo wheel, passes through a lens and is finally directed onto the motorised mirror. Fast-moving stepper motors allow for fluid scan mirror movements and it therefore responds rapidly.
Use of the LED Clubscan
The LED Clubscan can be either used in a simple or an extensive fashion - built-in automatic and music-controlled operating modes are ideal for simple gigs, whereas the master/slave mode is often used in bars/restaurants, and true light jockeys go for the DMX-controlled mode to enjoy complete control over all features. Five DMX channels let you control the pan and tilt motors, as well as the built-in dimming function, strobe function and the gobo/colour wheel.
