General

The Sniper 2R is a hybrid light effect by Elation. It can also be used as a beam effect, whereby it projects razor-sharp 3-degree light beams, or it can be used as a scanner with a 3-faceted rotating prism and various static gobos. The icing on the cake is a new laser simulation effect! All these effects are facilitated by an MSD Platinum 2R gas-discharge lamp of 132 watts - a popular choice for moving heads! In combination with the super-fast mirror which can move in three directions, and its 14 colours, this Sniper 2R ensures a true lighting spectacle!

Dichroic colours

This Elation light effect features 14 dichroic colours, which means that every colour is multi-layered and the colour you see is determined by the angle of the light hitting it. Metallic colours are achieved that allow for really special effects. The Sniper 2R features 17 gobos, a number of which focus the light beam for sharp, tight rays. All the functions of this light effect can be operated via a 14 or 16 channel DMX.

MSD Platinum 2R

The Sniper 2R is equipped with a powerful, yet energy-efficient 132W Philips Platinum 132R gas-discharge lamp that ensures a high-intensity light beam for excellent visibility and an extra-impressive light show. This lamp has an estimated life of 6,000 hours, which equals a few years of use.
