The Yamaha APX500II OVS (Old Violin Sunburst) is a western guitar from the 500 series. This is Yamaha's most successful series of electro-acoustic guitars, and it's not for nothing! The sound and appearance of the APX500II

The acoustic character of the APX500II comes mainly from the top and the size of the body. The sparkle of the steel-strings sings out with balance and clarity thanks to the spruce top, and the compact APX body ensures a sound that is bright and direct. The top has been given a stylish sunburst finish along with bindings and an impressive sound hole rosette.

Stage performance

The APX500 II delivers a powerful stage performance with strong dynamic output coming from the pickup/preamp combination. The sound colour can be adjusted with the 3-band equalizer, and the AMF mid-frequency tone control works to avoid acoustic feedback. With a built-in tuner with display, this handsome instrument is also easy to tune no matter where you are.
