The DP-32 is part of Tascam's mobile recorder family. A larger counterpart of the DP-24, this DP-32 offers no fewer than 32 channels: 8 mono and 12 stereo (which can also be set as mono channels). Twenty-one faders are at your disposal for twenty channels and the master channel, while a colour display and a large jog wheel enable you to easily navigate the virtual studio, where a 40-channel mixer is the beating heart. The DP-32 is capable of recording up to eight channels simultaneously, which means you're able to send forty tracks to the master track simultaneously, provided all playback channels are being used.
Digital benefits
In spite of the large number of available channels, the DP-32 is still remarkably compact and offers a clear overview. There is no need to haul around heavy peripherals, as the Tascam recorder is equipped with various effect processors: from input processing to mastering and guitar amp simulation, everything is built in. Even a metronome and a chromatic tuner are at your disposal. Although the DP-32 is equipped with a CD drive that allows you to burn your productions on the spot, Tascam realises that solid-state memory devices are the most reliable way of data storage. As such, it is also possible to record to an SD card of up to 32 GB. Thanks to a lack of moving parts (such as those found in traditional hard drives and CD burners), the risk of data loss is reduced to a bare minimum.
Mobile and versatile
The DP-32 weighs only a measly 6.2 kg, so transport and mobile applications are no problem whatsoever for this fantastic Tascam recorder. The channel strip is freely assignable and adjustable per track, and USB, SDHC and MIDI connectors offer you all the connectivity you need. Tascam products have always proven their worth, and this DP-32 digital mobile 32-track recorder is no exception, catering to all the needs of demanding producers.

Heb hem nu bijna 6 maand, nog geen enkele klik/pop gehoord zoals bovenstaande reviewer vermeld.
Ik vermoed dat zijn SD kaart niet volledig compatibel is of ergens een defect.
Mooi toestel, digitale i/o zou de kers op de taart geweest zijn.
De effects sends voor externe apparatuur zijn super, blij dat deze aanwezig zijn.
Dankzij deze kan ik mijn tracks 'droog' recorden, maar monitoren met effects van mijn externe pod x3 pro + achteraf het effect wijzigen zoveel ik wil, ik neem namelijk niet graag de keuze van effecten tijdens het recorden, liever achteraf tijdens het mixen beslissen welk effect het beste is.
Kleine tip: dit toestel heeft XLR/jack combo ingangen, maar indien je XLR inplugt verwacht het toestel mic level, indien een TRS jack inplugt zit je op balanced line level.
Overigs zijn de effects sends unbalanced line level.
Als je mooi zuiver geluid wil in je studio zorg je best dat je inputs/outputs steeds op hetzelfde level werken.
Zeer tevreden met deze dp-32, zal ik nog vele jaren plezier aan beleven, aan te raden.

Afmixen of editen is sowieso een crime, maar daar heb ik 'm ook niet voor gekocht. Erger is dat er ook bij opnames na verloop van tijd problemen ontstaan zoals klikken en poppen die het apparaat eigenlijk onbruikbaar maken. Helaas!
PS uiteraard heb ik de laatste firmware geïnstalleerd.

Met de faders controleer ik de mixer in cubase mbv midi.
De voetcontroller (los verkrijgbaar) is een aanrader.
