The Tama Starclassic Maple is a 3-piece shell set that consists of a 22-inch bass drum, a 12-inch tom and a 16-inch floor tom. The shells of this rock configuration shell set are made of maple, with the toms consisting of 6 plies and the bass drum consisting of 8 plies. Maple is a strong and widely used wood-type that produces a bright sound with a great attack. Besides offering a great balance between mids and highs, it emphasises the low-end.

The Starclassic Maple in Vintage Antique Maple has Black Nickel hardware, which elevates the already striking looks to a whole new level. The die-cast hoops ensure that your drums stay in tune, aided by the Hold Tight washers. These stainless steel cup washers come with rubber rings, that ensure constant contact between the tension rods and the hoop, so that the tension rods don’t come loose and the right tension is preserved. Furthermore, this maple shell set is equipped with the Star-Cast tom mounting system. This system makes minimal contact with the shell, resulting in maximum resonance. The streamlined design of this tom mount also makes it easier to find the perfect position for your tom. The Tama MP32RZBNS-VAM Starclassic Maple comes with Evans drumheads.

Other hardware

The 'virgin bass drum' in this maple shell set comes with Starclassic Maple claw hooks. These hooks are fitted with a rubber lining, which essentially reduces the chance of them damaging the wooden hoops to zero. For an optimal tone and resonance, Tama chose to fit the bass drum with their Air Cushioned bass drum legs. These have a special air chamber, that prevents the sound and sustain of your bass drum disappearing into the ground, while also being shock absorbing. The Tama Starclassic Maple with Vintage Antique Maple finish is a gorgeous shell set with a powerful sound that will cut through any mix with ease.
