Bedroom, kitchen, living room, holiday apartment, garden or camp site: this wireless Bluetooth speaker can easily be taken along wherever you go. The Sony SRS-X5 R (Red) is the most portable speaker from the SRS series, measuring no more than 22 by 11 cm and weighing only a little over a kilo. Nevertheless, the ultra-sleek design of this black and red device houses a surprising amount of power. The two full-range speakers, the subwoofer and the two passive radiators that happily vibrate along all combine to provide a 20-watt sound that is characterised by great clarity, precision and pronounced bass tones.

SRS-X5: music streaming and additional features

Once you have charged the battery of the SRS-X5 R with the accessory power adapter, you're able to listen to your playlists for up to eight hours, either wired or wireless - simply set up a Bluetooth connection or connect a cable to the 3.5mm jack input. If your smartphone supports NFC, you can quickly connect it via Bluetooth by holding it against the top of the speaker for a moment. Additional practical features are a speakerphone option and a USB output that allows you to charge your smartphone while you're listening to your music.
