It's such a shame if you have to drill a hole in your beautiful desk, because you want to flush your microphone. This MX690 precludes this rigorous measure: this desktop microphone is wireless, so you want have to lead any cables through your desk. Your speech is transferred to the SLX4 receiver via radio waves. This also means that you can use the microphone in different rooms for different applications, as it isn't flushed in a desk. The only thing you have to reposition is the receiver and the microphone, after which you can connect them and get going! This makes the MX690 practical for use in meetings, conferences or as an intercom at the office.
