Like DJs, producers and other musicians are becoming increasingly more mobile. A development such as this requires creative solutions, because it is hardly practical to take your entire studio with you... Cakewalk (Roland) provide the ideal product for mobile producers: the VS-100 mobile and compact V-Studio.

If you are accustomed to frequently travelling to your rehearsal space, your studio, or maybe even abroad, the VS-100 is perfect for you. Make recordings, create backing tracks, produce a final mix in no time: with this practical device it is all possible. The VS-100 has a compact yet rugged design. With regards to performance, options and connectors, this portable studio can easily compete with large studio equipment.

The VS-100 is the smaller counterpart of the VS-700. Like its big brother, the VS-100 offers perfect integration with Sonar. For that reason, the studio comes with an accessory version of Sonar that has been specifically designed for this product, based on the audio motor of Sonar 8 Producer. This version of Sonar is equipped with an intuitive, simple and clear graphic interface. The VS-100 also comes with an accessory Production pack: a collection of effects and virtual instruments. It offers you everything you need for your compositions and productions. Native Instruments Guitar Rig LE, VX-64 Vocal Strip, Cakewalk Studio Instruments, Dimension LE, Rapture LE, etc. are all part of this pack.

The VS-100 really consists of four products in one: an audio/MIDI USB 2 interface, a digital mixer, a control panel and a portable recorder. This portable studio is the perfect solution for all your demands. Creative minds often experience sudden flashes of brilliance when they least expect them. The VS-100 enables you to instantly act upon them, no matter where you are!

Escribió lo siguiente sobre Roland VS-100

Ober, mag ik nog een firmware?

Mijn VS-100, heeft zijn eerste firmware update al te pakken, en is nu nog beter. Ik kocht hem duurder en ben nog steeds tevreden. Ideaal voor solo, of als ondersteuning bij oefenen en optreden van kleine band.

Zocht 6-10 ch. AD-DA omzetter voor bescheiden analoge home studio.
Zocht ook usb-midi doos voor besturing Logic, Reason, Q-base, Abl Live.
Kreeg beide en tevens hoogwaardige portable recorder/mixer voor lokaal werk. Spaarde ruimte, gewicht, Euro's.

Live opnemen = Plug SD-kaart er in en Play. Idee vastleggen, overal waar stroom is, 'overdubje gelijk maar doen'?
En dat schoon hoogwaardig materiaal later in de D.A.W. bewerken. Trek de wave-files gewoon in een map, alsof je je fotocamera leeghaalt.
Kortom superrecordertje,

Met DAW meer audio invoeren en afmixen. Met iets meer oplettendheid, de handleiding is kort maar doeltreffend, online ondersteuning komt op gang.
Hele ding is nu "1 mixer-broodje", 100mm schuif over volledige zijkant (=handsteun). Multifunctie knoppen,

Tussenmix gelukt, naar buiten met dump van het hele orkest naar oefenruimte een live muzikant op nemen? Zo goed als hot Swappable. De lichte losse 12 volt netvoeding gaat mee. Goed leesbare mulitfunc display.

Kwaliteit effecten pre/post hoog genoeg om effectief te gebruiken (uitgez. delay).

Minder
Toets/display functies optimaal op bijgeleverd Sonar (Win), op Mac voldoende ondersteund voor grote 4 (zie boven) beter aan te passen. Geen time-code (metronoom aanboord) meegeschreven in opname op SD card. Delay alleen vaste tijd, is onbenullig met midi aan boord.
