This digital piano has a gorgeous rosewood finish and is one of the most deluxe models from the HP series. Just like the HP-506, the HP-508 features Roland's modern PHA-4 keyboard, which registers the force of your strokes in a very precise way and, combined with the renowned SuperNATURAL sound generator, which delivers a realistic simulation of grand and upright pianos, provides an exceptionally expressive piano experience. The PHA-4 keyboard is able to process quick note repetitions and is equipped with a low-noise mechanism.
The convincing sound of the HP-508 RW
The HP-508 has a higher cabinet than the HP-506 and its Acoustic Projection system, which provides you with the same rich and spacious sound as a real acoustic piano, features six instead of four speakers. The all-new 3D Ambience functionality enables you to enjoy a spacious sound even when you're playing with headphones. The Dynamic Harmonic effect adds additional realism - during powerful fortissimo passages, not only the volume but also the timbre of the sound changes to match the force of your strokes. Finally, the sound of each note can be adjusted independently, enabling you to adapt the piano to, for instance, the acoustics of the room.
The modern HP-508
It goes without saying that the HP-508 is equipped with all the standard features of a modern digital piano, including a metronome, the option to split the keyboard, various temperament types, and much more. A practical USB input enables you to connect, for instance, a USB stick, so you can record and play back WAV and MIDI files. Add the separately available Roland Wireless USB Adapter to the mix and you can connect the piano to your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. You'll be able to use the Piano Partner app for iPad, which features a number of practical tools to develop your playing skills, or the Air Performer app (suited for all three devices), which allows the HP-508 to play back the music of your playlists, enabling you to play along.
