General
All functions of the Roland GK-3 pickup, integrated nearly invisibly in a genuine Fender guitar: that's the Roland GC-1 GK Ready Stratocaster. This electric guitar enables you to control GK devices such as the Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer or the VG-99 V-Guitar system. It also works in combination with any other 13-pin compatible synth. The Roland GC-1 offers you both the sound and feel of the classic Fender Stratocaster in the shape of a versatile electric guitar that is all set for the future.
An authentic Fender Stratocaster
The Roland GC-1 is a genuine Fender Start in every way. From its solid alder body and beautiful sunburst lacquer, to the three single-coil pickups and the vintage-style tremolo bridge. As opposed to the black edition, this model is fitted with a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, which gives it a slightly warmer sound than a one-piece maple neck. There are controls for volume and tone, as well as a 5-way pickup switch. If you didn't know any better, you'd think this was just an ordinary Fender guitar!
Built-in GK-3 sytem and hexaphonic MIDI pickup
The GK-3 system and the Hex pickup are neatly and stylishly integrated into the body of the Roland GC-1. The standard GK controls have been positioned on the pickguard. The GK volume knob is now located where you would normally find the second tone knob of a Strat. Next to it, you'll find the selection switch. The two Up and Down buttons are conveniently located next to the 5-way pickup switch. The 13-pin connector of the GC-1 is fitted on the side of the body and can be used at the same time as the ¼-inch jack output.
The Roland GC-1 GK Ready Stratocaster is not just any old guitar, but offers numerous possibilities. Use it in combination with a 13-pin compatible guitar synthesizer and the wide range of sounds that no other guitar can offer you will blow you away.
