The SR505L-BM with its dark-brown mahogany body is a bass guitar with distinctive features. Where you normally find round dots, this bass has inlaid oval abalone position markers. The bolt-on neck passes through the two cutaways further than normal. This gives the Ibanez SR505L the distinctive look of the much loved Soundgear series. It also makes it much easier to play right up to and including the 24th fret. A closer look at the neck reveals five layers of wood consisting of bubinga and jatoba. This combination of wood types results in a neck that is light, compact and strong.
