This guitar has up to eight strings and fat, active EMG 808 pickups that sound so dangerous that you could startle the entire neighbourhood. Thanks to its accurate design with jumbo frets that have a Prestige file finish, the KTS titanium-reinforced neck and the extra slim neck construction, this guitar allows for very smooth and comfortable playing. The FX Edge III-8 bridge allows you to play for hours on end without detuning any of the strings.
Active pickups
The RG2228 is equipped with active EMG pickups, especially developed for 8-string guitars. These pickups also generate a high output signal at a low volume so that you'll always have a great-sounding distortion no matter how short, soft or fast your play a note. In order to keep your notes as pure as possible, the FX Edge III-8 bridge firmly holds them in place and makes sure that the strings are always perfectly tuned, even when one breaks!
