Fender Limited Edition American Deluxe Mahogany Stratocaster HSS

General

Mahogany is a common type of wood for guitars that is loved for its warm tone and impressive sustain. It isn't a wood type that's easily associated with Fender guitars however, which makes it even more extraordinary that they chose to make the Limited Edition American Deluxe Stratocaster's body out of mahogany. This guitar combines the timeless ergonomic Stratocaster design with the aforementioned tonal properties of mahogany. Additionally, it features a humbucker designed by Tim Shaw, a household name for great guitar pickups.

Construction

The body of this Stratocaster is slightly thinner than usual, which means it is still pleasantly light of weight. The mahogany makes the perfect base for an HSS pickup configuration - two Fender N3 Noiseless single-coil pickups and a powerful Shawbucker in this case. This instrument's maple neck has a compound radius (9.5 to 14 inches) and a bevelled heel for added playing comfort. High-quality locking machine heads ensure fast string changes and an excellent tuning stability. Thanks to the threadless design of the tremolo arm, rattling due to slack is a thing of the past.

S1 switch + Shawbucker

The American Deluxe Stratocaster is fitted with Fender's new N3 Noiseless pickups. These two single-coils produce that legendary Strat sparkle, without the typical 50Hz hum or static. The top of the volume knob is a special pressure switch, the S-1. By pressing the S-1 you'll activate a different circuit that allows you to create five completely different sounds in addition to the five original Strat ones. Add the renowned Shawbucker to the mix and the result is an exceptionally versatile, amazing-sounding Stratocaster with a sound and character that are truly its own.
