In making this Special Edition Telecaster, Fender Japan loosely followed the blueprint set by the original '52 Tele. The iconic shape of the ash body, the maple neck and the recognisable headstock have remained, of course. What's changed, however, is that this neck has a comfortable C profile, which makes it a lot more comfortable to play. The Vintage-Style single-coil pickup at the bridge allows for that typical Tele twang, while you'll find a Fender Standard Humbucker in the neck position. This pickup configuration is highly popular, and was made famous by guitar legends such as Keith Richards, for instance. Finally, the original bridge has been replaced by a modern version with six saddles.
