American Vintage '72 Telecaster Custom: components
This black version of the Fender FSR American Vintage '72 Telecaster Custom has an alder body and a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fretboard that together produce an exceptionally clear tone that is rich on mids. Like the '72 original, this reissue has several authentic features, including 21 narrow, low vintage frets and a 7.25-inch fretboard radius. Other vintage-accurate details include its 3-screw neck mounting with Micro-Tilt adjustment and the bullet-style truss rod nut on the headstock.
Single coil and Wide Range humbucker
The FSR American Vintage '72 Telecaster Custom is equipped with both a single-coil bridge pickup and a Fender Wide Range humbucker in the neck position. The humbucker was redesigned and re-voiced to sound like the original and produces the rich, wide and clean tones of a single-coil with the warmth and output of a humbucker, making it suitable for virtually any type of music, from country, jazz and blues to modern rock an metal. Both pickups have their own separate volume and tone control for extra versatility.
