General
The Fender FSR American Standard Stratocaster (Sonic Blue) is a genuine USA Strat that has some rather remarkable features. For one, this light-blue Fender Special Run guitar is equipped with a channel-bound rosewood fretboard, which means that the maple neck featured a recess to accommodate the fretboard - this as opposed to a fretboard that has been glued on. As this method allows for seamless sides, this neck is incredibly comfortable to play. What's more, it is a more durable construction that also increases resonance. Please note: only available in a limited number!
FSR American Standard Strat SB: compound radius and Fat '50s
The fretboard of the Fender FSR American Standard Strat SB is not only channel-bound, it also features a compound radius. A compound radius goes from convex to flat, allowing for comfortable chord playing and - closer to the body - smooth solos. Additionally, you can rely on all of the other features that would normally adorn a professional American Stratocaster, such as an alder body with three Custom Shop '50s for instance. These top-shelf pickups produce the classic, clear yet fat sound and thanks to the reverse-wound middle pickup, there's no hum in positions 2 and 4. The modern staggered machine heads provide for a stable tuning while the Micro-Tilt adjust enables you to adjust the neck angle easily.
Guitars and bass guitars from the American Standard series
The professional American Standard series comprises the most recent US-built versions of Fender's four most famous guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. They all feature a quality ash or alder body, an average-gauge C-profile maple neck and a relatively flat maple or rosewood fretboard, as well as a reliable, sustain-enhancing bridge and (often) Custom Shop pickups for the classic Fender sound.
