General

Although the Telecaster is often associated with country music, the Fender Blacktop Telecaster HH is of a completely different calibre. This black electric guitar is made for more brutal styles like hard rock and metal. Its two high output humbucker pickups are ideal for high gain, from neat staccato metal riffs to fast shred solos. However, this doesn't mean that this guitar isn't fit for less aggressive types of music. The humbuckers deliver a full, defined sound for cleans and sound punchy and highly dynamic with moderate distortions.

Blacktop Telecaster HH: classic Tele with a modern edge

This guitar was built like a traditional Telecaster, with a solid alder body and a one-piece maple neck, but that's where the tradition ends. Along with the two humbucker pickups, this Blacktop Telecaster HH has a Strat-type fixed bridge with six adjustable saddles. The potentiometers and 3-position pickup switch are reversed and fitted with Fender guitar amp-type knobs for a real hot rod look. Additionally, the neck of this guitar has 22 medium jumbo frets and a modern 9.5-inch radius for more comfortable playing and better bends.

The Fender Blacktop Telecaster HH has two Hot Vintage AlNiCo humbucker pickups that produce the full and warm sound of a classic humbucker with extra gain. The 3-position pickup switch allows you to choose between two pickups or a combination of both. The bridge pickup has a fierce, aggressive sound, while the neck pickup provides a deeper, creamier sound. With a lot of distortion you can even get an almost clean sound by just turning down the volume. Use the master tone to filter out unwanted high frequencies.
