Fender American Vintage '64 Jazz Bass: neck and materials

This version sports a prominent Lake Placid Blue finish that makes this guitar's headstock and body look very fresh indeed. The neck is made of maple and features a rosewood fretboard with Clay Dot position markers, just like the original '64 version. Its 20 frets are relatively low and narrow, for that proper vintage feel. The Fender American Vintage reverse open-gear machine heads offer exceptional tuning stability.

True-to-form construction

The pickups of this guitar have the same place as the ones on the original 1964 model. There are two single-coil pickups, both of them were specially designed for this American Vintage Jazz Bass and feature their own volume control. Additionally, there's a master tone knob so you can control the overall sound. The knobs are black, while the rest of the hardware has a chrome finish.
