The American Special Mustang is a slender, fierce guitar straight from the American Fender stables, ensuring you of durable build quality. The American Special edition is a stripped-down Mustang, with a sleek black body finished with a high-gloss urethane lacquer. Its maple neck has an oval C profile and allows for excellent playability. The rosewood fretboard has 22 jumbo-size frets, allowing for virtually no friction with the fretboard and smooth bends.

American Special Mustang: Atomic-output

This Mustang is equipped with two Atomic-type humbuckers. On the outside we can see white and black pickup covers per coil, and not without reason: the volume knob houses a push/pull coil-selector. This allows you to select the outer coils of both pickups for a radically different (fresher, brighter) tonal character. The humbuckers can be used both individually and together, providing a full, fat humbucker output. The Adjusto-Matic bridge (with anchored tailpiece) offers solid intonation and playability. This is a tonally versatile guitar that comes with its own gig bag.
