The LTD EC-401VF TBSB combines a rugged vintage sound with very attractive looks. Its beautiful body is home to two Seymour Duncan pickups that can handle a wide range of music styles, but are especially well-suited to take on the rough stuff. This humbucker duo consists of a famous JB pickup in the bridge position - which is an original old-fashioned humbucker with added output and a sharper sound - and a more modern, yet still classic '59 pickup at the neck that is notable for a warm, clear sound with a more moderate output.
The wood of the LTD EC 401 VF TBSB
As it is always a good thing to have an instrument that sounds as good as it looks, the LTD EC401VF TBSB was fitted with a Flamed Maple top characterised by a beautiful, tiger-like pattern. Additionally, this EC-401VF features a transparent Tobacco Sunburst lacquer and chrome hardware. Its neck sports large position markers as well as a type number at the 12th fret. The body is made of mahogany for a deep yet open sound and the maple top adds a clearer character to the overall sound of this guitar. To ensure rock-solid intonation, this LTD is equipped with a set of Grover machine heads and a Tune-O-Matic bridge.
