The Denon Delta 18S is part of the advanced Delta series that Denon Pro presented at the Namm 2015 in California. During the design stage, Denon's engineers spent quite a while determining which criteria the new Delta speakers would have to meet, and after several discussions with A/V professionals, they came up with the following: they wanted to combine considerable power with exceptional audio quality, but the speakers still had to be portable and easy to install. Fortunately, Denon has managed to live up to the high standards they set themselves, and the Delta series is all they promised it would be.
Advanced technology
The Delta S18 allows you to remotely control parameters like EQ and delay compensation - all you have to do is download the free Denon Delta Drive app for iPad and iPhone. Thanks to a built-in mixer and a number of practical inputs and outputs, you can use the versatile subwoofer for any application, at any location. Whether you're dealing with a high-end club installation, a live band or a conference setup, the Denon Delta series is the way to go.
Design
All of the speaker cabinets from Denon's Delta series are made of 19mm resonant-proof plywood with a scratch-resistant finish. A black metal grille protects the front of the subwoofer, and the cabinet also features a standard 35mm stand flange and twelve M10 fly points. Rubber feet on the bottom and sides of the 18S provide support and protection, while two recessed handles make it easy to transport the active subwoofer.
