General
The DNX1700 is a digital mixer with a remarkable, colourful design. Such an outspoken look may not appeal to everyone, but the quality and functionality of the Denon mixer are without a doubt beyond reproach. As such, the DN-X1700 offers stiff competition for renowned mixers such as the Pioneer DJM-800.
Denon's engineers have really paid attention to the details in the development stages of this digital mixer. The DN-X1700 offers any function professional DJs could wish for, whether they prefer working with vinyl, CDs, digital files, laptops or USB. The four-channel mixer has an industry-standard tabletop design with a simple layout. The high-grade, sizeable rubber controls are placed at a decent distance from each other for easy access. The DN-X1700 is equipped with a colour LCD display, an extensive 24-point LED channel and output meter, as well as an LED ring meter around the controls.
Featuring Matrix Input Assignment with digital input and MIDI/USB sound, an independent three-band equalizer with Kill for each channel and dual, independent EFX processors, the DN-X1700 offers great power and flexibility. When the Denon DN-X1100 was released, the main focus of criticism was its lack of an internal effect processor. Denon has clearly taken that feedback to heart and equipped the DN-X1700 with not one, but two EFX processors, placed closely together underneath the 3.5-inch TFT colour LCD display for easy reference. The EFX processors can be selected per channel and used individually or simultaneously.
The Denon DN-X1700 four-channel digital club mixer is equipped with studio-grade components and meets the highest standards. Unlike any DJ mixer within its range, the DX-X1700 features an on-board USB 2.0 audio interface (sound card) with four inputs and four outputs (compatible with PC/Mac, low-latency ASIO driver for PC included).
The DX-X1700 is equipped with a dual effect processor with twelve different effects, including Delay, Echo, Trans, Flanger, Filter, Phaser, Reverb, Loop, Rev. Loop, Pitch Shift and Beatbreaker. A matrix input system allows you to freely connect each line/phono or USB audio input to any channel. Two microphone inputs are fitted with a ducking filter, and all channels feature a three-band equalizer with kill function.
