Setting up your first studio is an exciting endeavour for any aspiring producer. What do you need, and how will it fit in your limited budget? This JBL Active Speaker Starter Pack is a great way to get you started on the right foot. It's comprised of the NanoPatch+, a pair of monitor pads, and four cables. The NanoPatch+ is a passive volume control (including mute switch) that is placed between your monitor speakers and your audio source (a mixer or audio interface for instance). This way, you can adjust the volume level without changing the unity gain of your source. The four cables are 3-metre-long jack-to-XLR cables. Finally, the monitor pads isolate sound vibrations form your speakers and prevent them from affecting what you hear through your monitor speakers.

De meegeleverde kabels zijn 2x trs naar xlr en 2x xlr naar xlr.
De regelaar zelf heeft genoeg 2x xlr+trs combi voor input maar alleen trs voor output.
Mijn audio interface heeft alleen trs voor output dus met meegeleverde kabels op de input van de regelaar aangesloten. Vervolgens bleef ik over met een xlr naar xlr om de monitors op aan te sluiten maar dat kon dus niet.
Na het bestellen van een xlr/trs verloopstekker werkte het wel naar behoren. De regelaar voelt oerdegelijk aan. Over de meegeleverde isolatiepads kan ik weinig zeggen buiten het feit dat die smaller zijn dan een LSR308 maar dat maakte qua functionaliteit niet uit.
