General
The Keith McMillen BopPad USB pad controller is a product many musicians would love to add to their current setup. Basically, it's a device with four sensitive pads that send out MIDI data via USB. By sensitive, we mean all you need to do to trigger them is tap them with your fingers, which is handy for musicians who don't play with drumsticks.
Keith McMillen BopPad: very expressive
The pads are velocity sensitive and support aftertouch, which means it makes a difference where you hit the pads, just as the sound of a cymbal's edge as opposed to its bell is different. The BopPad processes your attack with great precision, allowing you to play expressively.

Zeer responsief, goede aanslaggevoeligheid. Ook liggend op bijv. een tafel goed te bespelen. Persoonlijk bevalt mij het spelen met de hand/vingers beter dan met drumstokken o.i.d. De rebound van de pad is met drumstokken niet bijzonder goed (vergelijkbaar met een rubber drumpad van een basis elektronisch drumstel m.i).
Midi-setup is eenvoudig. I.p. geldt plug'n'play. Tenzij je het maximale uit de pad wilt halen. Dan zal je er echt even voor moeten gaan zitten gezien de uitgebreide midi-features van deze pad.
Stevige pad hoewel een usb-kabeltje en usb-input in verhouding wel kwetsbaar zijn.
