With the LC1134NT-M, Meinl delivers a special conga made by percussionist Luis Conte. This 11.75-inch conga has been given a traditional natural finish. Two layers of rubberwood ensure a warm conga sound. The shell is shaped to be extra wide, by Cuban design, for an extra deep sound. The True Skin buffalo skin gives this conga a pleasant playing feel and warm basic sound. An asset for the advanced conga player.
Meinl Luis Conte conga
Luis Conte is known as an excellent percussionist and has performed frequently with several world stars. Among others, Ray Charles, Julio Iglesias and Elton John are familiar with percussionist Luis Conte. A special TTR rim is placed close to the shell which ensures optimal control of the LC1134NT-M's sound. All the kettle hardware has been given a black powder-coated finish and a protective rim is fitted to the underside of the kettle. Sturdy 8 mm tension bolts ensure consistent tension on the sheet.
