General

The Hartke HD Series aims to back up any bassist with complete lightweight touring rigs. The HD508 combo sets you up with the full force of 500 Watts powered by a Class-D amplifier over four speakers for a richer, broader frequency range than you would get with most 1x15 combos. Loaded with paper and aluminium hybrid speakers, this combo guarantees just enough definition, which can be sculpted further using the Shape-circuit-supported three-band equaliser section of the control panel. This special circuit sets you and your bass up with a vast tonal range spanning the 100 to 900Hz frequency range, and makes this surprisingly lightweight combo able to thicken up the rhythm section of pretty much any genre.

I've not even bought one yet but but I had use of a Hartke set up in Germany back in 1995-6 while supporting Torfrock with The Whiskey Priests.My stage sound was amazing. Just by looking at this hd508 and given the 500w output and the portability it's coming home to me. At £500ish don't hum and ah this looks the best thing on the market
