The first British amplifiers borrowed plenty from the iconic Fender Bassman; specifically, the preamplifier circuitry, but instead of 6V6 tubes, these British brands used EL34s in the power amp, which gave these amps the unmistakable woolly sound that was made legendary by guitarist Eric Clapton and the Bluesbreakers. Now, more than 50 years later, Fender turns the tables. This time, Fender equips this Bassman preamp with two EL34 tubes, with this 45-watt Fender Bassbreaker as the result!

Adjustable Output

With 45 Watts of power, this combo packs plenty of punch and still offers enough headroom for medium-sized gigs. What's more, the Bassbreaker 45 is equipped with a variable wattage control circuit that allows you adjust the power capacity from 1 to 45 Watts. That means you can find your own sweet spot and fine-tune it according to the location or venue. Just like the Fender Bassman itself, this Bassbreaker reacts extremely well to stomp boxes and effects. While the Bassman features a Normal and a Bright input, the Bassbreaker has a third Both input that combines the former two.
