Blackstar presented the HT Club 40 MkII guitar amplifier combo from the Venue series with the hashtag #moreismore. This second version has been given quite an update compared to the previous model and is the result of three years of research and development. It's more compact and lighter than before and now has a stylish boutique appearance. There are two channels and both offer plenty of options. The clean channel has its own bass, treble and volume controls as well as a voice switch for sparkling sounds with lots of versatility. The richer and fuller-sounding overdrive channel also has a voice switch and the special Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) that gives you typical British or American tones and everything in between. Switching between modes is easy using the included footswitch.

HT Club 40 MkII: highly-versatile

The HT Club 40 MkII is equipped with two ECC83 preamp tubes and two EL34 power amp tubes. It has 40 watts of power on board which comes through the 1x12-inch Celestion speaker and is enough for small gigs. When you want to use the amp at home or in the studio, the built-in attenuator can dial the power back to a modest 4 watts. There's an FX loop with a level control so that you can easily integrate external effects and you can also make use of the built-in reverb that has its own light/dark switch on the back of the amp. There's even a USB connection that can be used for recording purposes!

Heel goed geluid met genoeg mogelijkheden. De twee kanalen met elk twee voices zorgen ervoor dat ik met de footswitch 4 totaal verschillende sounds uit de versterker kan halen. Voor zo'n stevige versterker is hij verrassend licht en daardoor goed te tillen. De equalizing geeft veel mogelijkheden

Het kunnen schakelen tussen 4 en 40 watt is erg fijn voor oefensituaties in bijv. een oefenruimte. Daardoor hou je dezelfde sound in een kleine oefenruimte als op het podium.

Let wel op: De buizen moet je even inwerken voordat je er het beste geluid uit haalt.

Enig minpuntje, de bijgeleverde stroomkabel is erg kort.
