These are Meinl's CH33HF Bar Chimes, a percussion instrument with 33 gold-coloured chimes made of high-quality anodised aluminium that produce a high-pitched tone. They are attached to the wooden bar and can be played with the included beater to produce a beautiful array of magical, wondrous tones. The Meinl CH33HF is a great instrument that can be used by orchestras, bands and individual musicians alike.
Perfectly balanced
As the instrument was invented by studio percussionist Mark Stevens, the Bar Chimes are also called a Mark Tree - a name that was conceived by Stevens' colleague Emil Richards. The single row of 33 gold-coloured chimes is connected to the wooden bar by means of durable nylon cords. That bar is balanced perfectly, to create the best possible effect.
