General

TC Electronic's Thrust BQ500 is a bass guitar amplifier head with 500 watts of power. It has a built-in compressor and its robust steel housing is compact and lightweight making it easy to take with you. A great sound is assured thanks to the powerful class D amplifier along with a MOSFET preamplifier and the newly-designed 4-band EQ. Whenever you want extra punch, simply activate the thrust compressor.

Thrust BQ500

The BQ500 also has a passive/active switch which optimises the sound for basses with passive or active pickups. There's a DI output which means this amp head can be connected directly to a mixer or recording equipment too. For practising in silence, you can make use of the headphone socket that features speaker simulation.

Brilliant Amplifier Head at a great price. Bought from Bax Shop. I've had this amp head now for just 8 months or so, and I can honestly recommend it to any bass player on a budget, Sounds Great with my DHC 1x15 Bass Cab(8ohms). Fits in my Backpack gig bag. No more lugging heavy bass heads..this does the job for me. So glad I purchased this amp as I'm not the fit young man I used to be and wanted a light bass rig that's easy to carry, that doesn't cost the earth. Good EQ settings too and I can get some good bass sounds from this amp. This is the first Class D amp I've used and it runs pretty cool, hardly gets warm, fan noise is fairly quiet. ..and I'm well impressed at paying under 200 quid for a 500 watt bass head that's so easy to carry and fits in my bag. Great service from Bax Shop too. I can't recommend it enough.

Ampli de bonne qualité et robuste. Couplé au RS212 de chez TC Electronic il fait des merveilles.

Le grain est neutre c'est ce que je cherchais et avec l'EQ il est possible de colorer à souhait le son.

Gisteren eerste gig gedaan met deze versterker met 2 keer 10 inch kast zonder tweeter. Mooi geluid, warm en clean, heeft veel power. 500 watt is peak vermogen, niet rms, gehoord van tc zelf. De compressor werkt goed, neemt iets hoog weg maar geeft goede punch aan het geluid. Ik speelde op een jazz bas,ook een mooi vet slap geluid zit erin. De schakelaar passive/active zit verkeerd om, maar laat je daardoor niet afschrikken. Is een bekend foutje bij tc, ze gaan het aanpassen. Studeren is super met deze amp, je kan je bas sound kleuren met de eq en een mooie mix maken van de muziek die je afspeelt en je bas. Ik vind dit een toffe versterker en tjee,voor deze prijs zoveel power is ongeëvenaard! Klasse D versterker van grote klasse! Rein.
