General
The lightweight TX600 by Hartke is a 600W class D bass amplifier that houses legendary Hartke tube preamp circuits and boasts an extremely compact, practical design. Inside of its rugged, durable housing, there is a built-in compressor and a unique Tone Stack equalizer section so you can tweak your sound just how you like it, regardless of musical genre or playing style.
The Hartke TX600 bass amp: Tone Stack EQ and tube preamp
The engineers at Hartke were inspired by bassists of all different musical styles and genres, which resulted in the Tone Stack equalizer preset, designed especially for the bass. The Shape and Frequency knobs allow you to maintain total control as far as your mids are concerned while the Bass and Treble do the same for the lows and highs. This gives you complete control over the amp output so you can create your own unique sounds. The TX600 has the same tube preamp as in the improved LH series, making it capable of delivering a broad sound with a rich tone and unbelievable warmth and punch. A Compressor knob on the amp gives you control over the bass dynamics, enabling you to deliver a soft, even sound. Use the Brite knob to add some extra high frequency attack.
On the go with the TX600
In order to keep this amp portable at just over 3 kilos, yet still robust, Hartke chose aluminium for its housing. It's a class D amp that features all the tone characteristics of a traditional linear amplifier without all the weight. The Hartke TX600 has a headphone output so you can play along with your favourite tracks, making it just as ideal for practising alone as with a band. Finally, the amp is equipped with an XLR connector for direct recording or for use in larger venues.
