Peavey's ValveKing II Micro Head is a versatile 20-watt, 2-channel tube guitar amp head. It has a built-in 20/5/1-watt attenuator, Vari-Class, an MSDI Direct Interface and USB recording out. It's equipped with three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 power amp tubes. The TSI Tube monitoring system shows you the condition of the tubes via LEDS and let's you know when they need replaced.

Peavey ValveKing II Micro Head

Ik wilde eigenlijk de Classic 20 Micro Head aanschaffen maar deze Valveking II was in de aanbieding. En nu dus uit het assortiment... Ook bij Peavey is de hele Valveking serie van de website verdwenen. Heeft een review dan nog wel zin?

Het is een fijn versterkertje voor thuis. Ik gebruik hem overdag op 5W en 's avonds op 1W.
Het lead kanaal is niet erg subtiel. De overdrive gaat van hard to heel hard. Het cleane kanaal klinkt erg goed (ja ik weet het, dat is subjectief) en werkt prima samen met effectpedalen. Dat zal ik waarschijnlijk het meest gaan gebruiken.

Toch jammer dat Peavey deze versterker niet meer levert.
