Quite a few guitarists have been looking forward to the Orange Thunderverb 50 tube head. This 50-watt amp produces the same smashing tube tones as the Thunderverb 200, only at a more moderate level. Additionally, the head features a warm reverb thanks to the ECC81 tube, a tube-driven effects loop and, of course, two channels. Moreover, with the foot-switchable attenuator function you can turn the volume down while retaining the timbre!

A British rock sound and two channels

Channel B sets itself apart from channel A via a simple, yet highly effective Shape control instead of a 3-band tone control. Turn it to the right and the mids will be attenuated while the amount of bass and trebles increases, and turn it to the left to do the opposite. This allows you to quickly go from classic rock sounds to modern blues, hard rock and metal. Among this highly convincing valve violence, Orange's famous British rock character remains unscathed.
