ENGL is good at keeping up with the latest guitar trends, and because it's clear that the days of lugging heavy equipment around are over, they've released the ENGL E315 Gigmaster Head compact. This super compact and versatile 15W guitar tube amp head with two channels and built-in Power Soak will be right at home in your bedroom or on stage.

Versatile sounds of the ENGL E315 Gigmaster 15 Head

The ENGL E315 Gigmaster 15 Head is powered by a single 12AX7 preamp tube and two EL84 power tubes. As such, this little power house delivers an incredibly warm, organic and dynamic sound. The first channel goes from a bright clean to a bluesy crunch. For the rougher stuff, though, you'll want to work with the lead channel. Crank up the input gain to enter high-gain metal territory. You can use the shared 3-band EQ and the mid boost to adjust the sound.

Built-in Power Soak

Thanks to the built-in Power Soak function you can enjoy a fat tube sound even at low volumes. The amp head can run on one or five watts, which ideal if you need to keep the volume down for your neighbours or flatmates. For recording, you can simply set the switch to Speaker Off so that you can use the balanced line output with speaker simulation without needing to connect a speaker. Finally, you'll have an FX loop at your disposal should you wish to use effects, and there's also an input for an optional foot switch.
