The sleek 5-piece Mapex Fusion shell set offers slick, fast tuning and a solid, flexible foundation for a customisable kit - all for an attainable price. Every shell comes finished with a SONIClear tension hoop that provides enhanced contact between the skin and shell, making tuning that little bit easier, especially when tuning to a lower pitch. Since this set includes a 14" x 5.5" Tomahawk snare, you really are getting more for your hard-earned cash than you would with most shell-sets.
The Mapex Armory Fusion
The Mapex Armory Fusion line-up is as follows: a 20" x 16" bass drum, 10" x 8" and 12" x 9" hanging toms, a 14" x 14" floor-tom and a set of floor-tom legs, as well as the snare. Each shell has been shaped using six layers of birch and maple and have 7.2mm thick walls mounted with chrome-plated hardware. A pair of TH800 SONIClear tom holders have also been generously thrown in and, due to the smart SONIClear system, can be neatly clamped onto a cymbal stand, allowing the toms to hang and resonate freely for a fuller sound. Finally, this particular example of the Mapex Armory Fusion set comes coated in an Emerald Burst finish.
