This affordable 5-piece comes in a beautifully muted Nightwood finish and fitted with features unique to the Saturn IV-Series. The professional class Mapex Mars 529S Rock shell set comes with a 22-inch kick drum, 10 and 12-inch toms, a 16-inch floor tom and a 14 x 6.5-inch snare.

The Mapex Mars 529S Rock: A Rock Configuration with Brilliant Sound

Each shell is made of 6-ply birch for sharpened focus, excellent resonance and brilliant overall sound. The toms deliver clear punch backed up by the immense body of the floor tom and kick. The kick is also fitted with isolating tensions claws complete with a rubber layer, protecting the tension hoops from possible damage and minimising the chance of rattling hardware. The SONIClear Suspension Tom-mounting system comes directly from the Saturn IV-Series and ensures the least possible contact with the shells for full resonance.

Matching Snare

The Nightwood-finished matching 14 x 6.5-inch snare has a solid foundation sound supporting a brilliantly versatile character. The shell is finished with the Mars-Series specific SONIClear Bearing Edges. The specially shaped edge make better contact between the shell and head, not only resulting in consistent tuning and a broadened tuning range, but a deeper sound. This snare finishes a sublime and attainable kit for the straight-up rock drummer.
