Gretsch Drums RW1-E604-GN Renown Walnut Gloss Natural shell set

Gretsch's Renown series has been around for some time now, and in 2013, the entire range was updated with modern chrome shell hardware. Since then, the brand has come up with this RW1-E604-WBF Renown Gloss Natural 4-piece shell set made of walnut. It consists of a 20x16-inch bass drum, 10x7 and 12x8-inch toms and a 14x14-inch floor tom. This is known as a studio setup, but it's also right at home on stage. The Gloss Natural finish really enhances this set's beautiful walnut wood grain.

Gretsch RW1-E604-GN: 6-ply shells

The shells in this kit are actually made of six plies of walnut and maple construction; the walnut produces a dark tone and the maple delivers clear mids and highs. The sound of the shells are optimised by the bearing edges, which are positioned at a 30-degree angle. The GT1 Suspension Mount ensures minimal contact with the tom shells and the use of a Virgin bass drum prevents the need to make unnecessary holes. The toms come with two holders that can be mounted to a stand.

Die-cast rims

Both the toms and the floor tom are equipped with die-cast rims, meaning they are strong and resilient all the way around for an even tension distribution. The rims on the bass drum are made of walnut and feature the same finish.
