The TD-17 electronic drum kit by Roland is equipped with tools to help you improve your drumming skills. It comes loaded with a Roladn-grade sound generator and boasts an authentic playing feel when compared to an acoustic drum kit. The TD-17KV features mesh drum heads that include a 12-inch PDX snare pad with a hoop that is as high as an acoustic snare so you can hit open rim shots at a natural angle. There's also a bass drum pad, a 10-inch hi-hat with foot controller and two 12-inch cymbal pads (crash and ride).

The Roland TD17KV: Create Your Own Sound

The TD-17 module is equipped with 50 pre-programmed kits, each of which can be adjusted by means of the 30 on-board effects. You can also add your own samples by means of an SD card, such as a specific rim shot or a short audio fragment. Using Reverb and Ambience, you can emulate the acoustics of a football stadium, a studio or an intimate night club. The module has clear, user-friendly controls en is equipped with various connection options such as an aux input, headphone output and USB port for your computer.

Roland have equipped the TD-17 with various functions that are designed to help you improve your drumming skills. The Coach mode offers exercises for warming up and improving endurance, tempo and timing. There's also a recording function so you can listen critically to your practise sessions or record audio for online lessons or YouTube videos. If you want to play along with your favourite music, stream audio from your tablet or smartphone or use the aux input.
