General

The Special Edition of the Alesis Surge e-kit features the realistic playing feel of a set of dual-zone mesh-heads and comes with both a kick drum and hi-hat pedal. This immense yet slimline eight-piece kit is built out of three 8 inch toms, a 10 inch snare, an 8 inch kick pad, a 10 inch ride, 10 inch crash and 10 inch hi-hat pad, each with a choke-function. Scroll through twenty-four preset kits, hundreds of sounds, sixty play-along backing tracks, toggle the built-in metronome and lay down ideas with a performance recorder - all via the neat module. These tools don't just bring the fun, but enable drummers to study patterns, rhythms and beats, monitor their progress and hone their technique. Via the mini-jack port, external gear like a phone or laptop can be hooked up to play along to your own tracks and playlists, and via USB, the Surge Mesh can be coupled with a PC or Mac to make the most of the free BFD Player software which comes stacked with high-grade samples of premium drum kits.
