General
At first glance it looks just like a real Fender bass guitar but Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Jazz Bass has a friendlier price tag. It is modelled after its big American brothers and offers the same classic looks, sound and amazing playability, making it a great-looking bass guitar for both beginners and advanced guitarists on a budget. This is the 3-colour Sunburst edition with beautiful tortoise pickguard.
The Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Jazz Bass's features
This vintage-oriented guitar has the classic J-Bass features, such as the well-known asymmetrical body and that coveted narrow neck. The body is made of lightweight basswood and the vintage tinted maple neck is covered with a 20-fret rosewood fretboard. It has a comfortable C-profile and a modern 9.5-inch fretboard radius for comfortable playing. The 2013 bass guitar is equipped with a set of Fender single coil pickups for an even more authentic fierce and deep Jazz Bass sound.
The Squier brand
The most famous Fender guitars are the Precision and Jazz bass guitars and the Stratocaster and Telecaster electric guitars. Many manufacturers have imitated these, in different price ranges. In order to be able to provide a reliable and attractive alternative for beginners, Fender started their subsidiary Squier in 1982. Squier guitars and bass guitars are built according to specifications made by, and under supervision of Fender.
