Peter Iwers is the bass player of the Swedish melodic death metal band In Flames. His playing style is inspired by Toto bassist Jeff Porcaro and John Myung of Dream Theater. This resulted in a rather aggressive, inexorable playing style. This Ibanez PIB3 is his signature guitar, a 5-string bass, designed to take on those who want to play like Iwers. The body of this bass is made of mahogany and the five-piece neck, made of maple and rosewood, encourages intensive playing. A striking detail is the fiery PIB3 inlay at the twelfth fret. The guitar is equipped with two CAP EXF-N2 humbuckers with a punchy sound and a curved design so that each string has the same distance to the pickup. This results in a very balanced output.
