This passive J Bass has been built in the Fender factory in Ensenada and as such, you know you're getting a high quality instrument that won't leave you out of pocket. The neck has been given a Modern-C profile before being finished with a coat of the same luxurious satin-gloss lacquer found on the necks of its American siblings, while the pau ferro fretboard lends a darker edge and light roundness to the overall tone.

The Fender Player Jazz Bass: Dynamic Punch

As soon as you jack into your amp, you know this Player Series J-Bass is going to take things a big step further. This is a passive four-string, so the sound retains an organic and natural feel alongside the solid punch, refined definition and dynamic response of a pair of Alnico 5 single-coils that have been exclusively developed for the series. Isolate or blend the sound of both pickups via the two volume pots and twist the tone pot to fully customise the output.
