General
If you've outgrown your Mexican Fender, but can't afford an American Fender just yet, you'll be happy to know there's a third alternative. Every once in a while, a high-quality model that was made in Japan is made available on the European market. These instruments are always limited editions, and here at Bax-shop, we're proud to announce we've managed to get our hands on the Fender Japan Classic '60s P Bass RW Vintage White. It boasts the same high quality as the American Standard models, but is yours for a much more affordable price.
Construction of the Fender Japan Classic '60s P Bass
As is to be expected for an instrument of this calibre, the body consists of a beautiful piece of alder, a wood type that's renowned for its balanced tone. The maple neck is fitted with a 20-fret rosewood fretboard that lends a nice warm touch. Naturally, this Japan Classic Special '60s bass guitar is equipped with a split single-coil pickup, which is essential for that characteristic P Bass punch. As is custom for a Japanese instrument, this Fender's finish is outstanding. Costs nor effort were spared with regards to hardware - the GTOH machine heads are proof of that. Finally, a thin layer of lacquer really brings out the characteristics and quality of this beauty's wood.
Japanese Fenders
Japanese Fenders - in this case manufactured in the Dyna Gakki factory - are high-end instruments that were originally never meant to travel abroad. Thanks to their vintage design, modern innovations and high-quality finish, these hand-made bass guitars are highly coveted all over the world. They offer the same build quality as their professional Fender American Standard counterparts at a very reasonable price.
