The Fender American Vintage '58 Precision Bass (3-colour Sunburst) is an amazingly accurate reproduction of a 1958 Precision Bass. You can be assured that this American-made bass guitar has the exact same features as its vintage predecessor. Its alder body produces a terrific resonance and its thick maple neck features a C profile and a maple fretboard. What's more, 1958 was the first year the P-bass was issued with a 3-colour Sunburst finish.

The authentic American Vintage '58 Precision Bass

The hum-bucking, punchy American Vintage '58 Precision Bass split single-coil pickup is designed to produce the exact same sound as those on the original guitars. Highly striking and attractive features of this bass guitar include the beautiful bridge and pickup covers as well as the gold-anodised, lacquer-finished pickguard. This guitar also features a finger rest below the strings, and narrow vintage frets.

The American Vintage models are accurate reproductions of Fender guitars and bass guitars from the fifties, sixties and seventies. The original guitars were carefully analysed, after which Fender crafted the new editions using genuine '50s tools.
