General
The American Jazz Bass and Precision Bass have gained a brother, the American Standard Jaguar Bass. This four-string electric bass guitar has a distinct asymmetrical body with short horns and combines the best of its two siblings. For one, it features both a Precision and a Jazz Bass pickup. Also, this bass wouldn't be a Jaguar if it didn't have an elaborate dual tone circuit. This is the Mystic Red version with a mint-green pickguard that comes with a rugged case and several accessories that include a guitar strap and cable.
Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass: Made in the U.S.A.
The American Standard series represents American durability and quality. This Jaguar Bass too was made with premier materials and components. Its body is made of lightweight alder and its maple neck was fitted with graphite support rods. The fretboard is of rosewood and features elegant pearloid block inlays. Lightweight HipShot machine heads prevent a diving neck and will retain the bass guitar's tuning excellently. The solid High Mass Vintage bridge offers lengthened sustain and allows for both strings-through-body and topload stringing for an alternative sound.
Dual tone circuit
The distinctive gnarl of the J-Bass pickup, the punch of the P-bass pickup or a combination of both are essentially enough to create a wide range of big bass guitar sounds. However, the Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass is equipped with a secret weapon: a slider switch on the top horn allows you to alternate between two different tone circuits. Set it to the lower position and the volume potentiometer becomes a passive tone control. In the top position, you can use the two horizontal disc knobs as active boost/cut for bass and treble.
