General

Virtuoso bass guitar players can go all out with the LTD RB-1006SM Natural. This is a beautiful natural bass guitar from LTD's RB-1000 series, featuring no fewer than six strings. Thanks to its transparent lacquer, beautiful wood grain and black-nickel hardware, this 6-string bass has a very luxurious look. Additionally, it packs a highly defined, expansively adjustable tone and an extra-slender bolt-on neck. The thin neck and double cutaway make sure you can grasp any position on the neck quickly and easily.

The sound of the LTD RB-1006SM Natural

A good sound is, at the very least, just as important as good looks. Despite its many strings, the LTD RB-1006SM Natural produces a highly defined and open sound with plenty of warmth and sustain thanks to the lightweight swamp ash body and solid spalted maple top. The maple fretboard throws in edgy high frequencies. The split single-coil at the neck and single-coil in the bridge position are made by Aguilar and are perfectly balanced to produce a dynamic, full sound. You can adjust the overall sound with four controls: volume, pickup balance, bass and treble. The bass and treble knobs adjust the built-in active Aguilar OBP-2 preamp's tone control.
