ESP LTD has outdone themselves with the B-1004SE Multi-Scale bass guitar. It has a stunning rosewood top and a 5-ply wenge/bubinga extra thin U neck with 24 extra jumbo fanned frets on a rosewood fretboard. The frets fan out to enable even more playing comfort, and because it's a multi-scale bass, its string tension is optimal. The bridge saddles, Hipshot Solos, have been carried out individually per string. Once you've played on a fanned fret, you'll never want to go back!

ESP LTD B-1004SE Multi-Scale with Nordstrand Big Split pickups

These strings' vibrations are captured by two top-of-the-line American Nordstrand Big Split pickups which are reminiscent of a jacked-up j-bass yet still possessing their own unique character. There are as many windings around the alnico magnet as the soapbar housing will allow, resulting in a creamy, loud, aggressive sound. The signal is sent through an active 3-band equalizer designed by ESP themselves which can either enhance or tone down the high, mid and low with a boost/cut control.
