A lot of electric short-scale basses have a vintage vibe to them, which is why Ibanez present their SRMD200 models. These solid-body guitars have been given just enough upgrades to plant them firmly in the here and now. While the SR Mezzo is based on the popular Soundgear Series models in terms of weight and playing comfort, it feels and looks as tight as it possibly can. Next to its poplar body and bolted-on maple and walnut neck, the Custom Electronics preamp with 2-band EQ and two Dynamix single-coils contribute to a characteristically modern bass guitar sound. A shorter, 32-inch scale length, 12-inch radius and SRMD4 neck offer an equally modern playing comfort.
