The ever sought-after Ibanez Soundgear Series introduces the SR650E. Mounted with a Nordstrand PJ-pickup configuration, this electric bass is built to push the sound of any contemporary bassist to the forefront. The ash body provides the bulk of its foundation sound while two Nordstrands shape impeccable amplification. Their primarily single-coil sound comes with the added bonus of double pole hum-cancellation and the PJ configuration offers all of that fundamental tonal flexibility - all comprehensively steered by the fully-customisable Ibanez Custom Electronics System.
The SR650E: Exquisite Playing Comfort and Potent EQ
Besides a set of volume and balance pots, this Ibanez bass comes fitted with a very special and very potent 3-band equaliser with cut and boost options and a dedicated three-way frequency selector switch flips through 250, 450 or 700 Hz, dramatically shaping the mid-range and offering a detailed grip on the active sound. For those more organic moments, simply use the EQ-bypass switch to cut out the active circuit and use the treble-pot as the passive tone pot. Meanwhile, the elegantly slim and lightweight body and neck offer exquisite playing comfort and the 19mm string-spacing can be freely adjusted in every direction by up to 1.5mm via the advanced Accu-Cast B500 bridge, giving your playing hand an entirely personalised experience.
